Louisville, Kentucky, one of the oldest cities west of the Appalachian Mountains, is home to the largest annual Beatles Festival, as well as The Kentucky Bourbon Festival. With its many down home restaurants, and barbecue treasures, this ever growing, historic city is also home to an enchanting secret eatery known as Cuvee.

Opening its doors at 3598 Springhurst Blvd in East Louisville this past May, Cuvee proves to be the next hot spot for sensual date nights, birthday gatherings, and late night rendez-vous for the perfect wine tasting.

Their menu features an exquisite variety of creations including: mouthwatering caramelized mushrooms with fresh capriole goat cheese, persillade, carrot reduction, and a grilled baguette. They present a perfectly smoked salmon with a warm, crisp baguette, caper chive crème fraiche, grape mustard, and a truffled egg. For those who prefer simple meals, their onion and pancetta flatbread pizzas are prime choice: It is made with regional castelvetrano olives, shaved parmesan, tiny pan seared onions, and flavorful strips of well seasoned pancetta on freshly baked flatbread. For desert they offer a treat known as chifeletti. This bowl of powdered sugared gnocchi with chocolate ganache drizzled atop satisfies even the most discerning sweet tooth.

Living up to the definition of its name, (pertaining to an exclusive stock of wine/ champagne), Cuvee certainly houses a plethora of reds and whites. They stock everything from Getariako Txakolina, Monchof, and Brut Taittinger La Francaise, to Lambrusco Gasparossa di Castelvetro Fiorini, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Rioja Gran Reserva.

If you are a novice to the varieties of wines and champagnes, worry not, for Cuvee's excellent staff provides immaculate service, they are well informed of their inventory and its origins, and are wonderful at identifying the perfect beverage to pair with your meal, or for simply evolving your palette.

Each meal at Cuvee is served as tapas, and their wines and champagnes are served in 2 ounce glasses, 8.25 ounce glasses, and full bottles.

Whether you dine in a group, or individually, you are sure to have room to try something new and delectable on their menu.
